Starting XI

The young full-back Another confident showing by the rising star following his first cap against Serbia. Saka failed to make full advantage of a clever flick over the opposing backline. His position is his to lose already. Seven

Jarrod Bowen Was presented with England’s top opening before halftime, his effort smartly stopped by the opposing goalkeeper. As Quansah staying deep, it fell to him to stretch the play on the right yet his deliveries into the box were hit and miss. Taken off late in the match. 6/10

Harry Kane The decisive figure scoring two more goals at international level. The first a typical close-range tap-in and the second a superb header after peeling away from his marker. At 32, he’s only getting better with the national team stand a real opportunity next summer with him leading the line. 8

The attacker Found it tough to influence play on the left flank. Had a presentable chance when set up by the midfielder but Strakosha made the save. His replacement made much more of an impact when substituted. 5
