Liverpool's Star Offers Apology to Teammates, Discloses Curtis Jones
Jones has disclosed that Salah expressed regret to the group of players following the uproar from his public comments.
What Happened
He was omitted from a key Champions League match following voicing frustrations and claiming his connection to the head coach had deteriorated.
“Mo is his own man and he can say his own stuff,” Jones told Sky Sports. “He said sorry to the group and was like: ‘Should anyone feel slighted, I apologise.’”
The head coach has refused to comment publicly on whether he got an explanation from the player.

Jones insisted that the dressing room atmosphere was unchanged. “He was his usual self, he was smiling and it was business as usual,” he continued.
Jones also implied that a teammate fighting for a place is a positive trait. “I get that there are different methods you can express yourself,” he said. “However, if a player is content to just be on the bench, then I think that’s concerning.”
Positive Results
Their results have remained strong in the period after the initial controversy. The player is convinced the forward's comments were not intended to destabilise the squad.
“In moments of frustration, it’s always been from a desire to win,” the midfielder stated. “It's behind us and we’re gelling well as a team, getting results and securing victories.”
