Iranian Forces State Strike on American Facility in Bahrain, During Regional Retaliatory Strikes.
Tehran reports attacking a American military facility in Manama, as Iran launched operations throughout the Middle East in response for a "massive" and continuing offensive targeting the nation by the US and Israel.
Huge plumes of black smoke were seen rising from an area in the area of the main base of the US Navy's Fifth Fleet in Manama, Bahrain. The full scale of any destruction is unclear and the American officials has remained silent.
Missile Defenses Activated
Elsewhere across the region, the UAE, Qatar and the State of Kuwait - all home to US military bases - reported they have shot down missiles in their airspace.
In Doha, Qatar's defence ministry said it had intercepted a number of projectiles apparently targeting the al-Udeid air base, the largest American base in the Middle East.
Operation "Truthful Promise 4"
Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said in a statement it was attacking US bases and assets as part of military campaign "Truthful Promise 4", in retaliation for the attack on the Islamic Republic carried out by the United States and its ally Israel on Saturday.
That US-Israeli operation - initiated at around 06:15 GMT - has so far targeted sites associated with the Tehran's leadership, with President Trump encouraging the people of Iran to revolt against the leadership.

In the State of Israel, air raid sirens sounded nationwide after the Israel Defense Forces stated it had detected an incoming Iranian missile barrage.
The Ministry of Defence of the United Arab Emirates stated that the nation has been subjected to a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".
"UAE air defence systems engaged the missiles with great effectiveness and successfully intercepted a several projectiles," the statement continued.
The statement noted debris landed in a residential area in the capital, resulting in some structural damage and the death of one civilian.
The US Air Force operates from Al Dhafra Air Base, south of the Emirati capital, along with the Emirati Air Force.
