Passionate followers of the actress are calling for that a man who jumped a barricade and grabbed the celebrity during Thursday's Wicked: For Good debut be taken into custody or removed from Singapore.

A widely shared footage depicts the Australian man shoving aside photographers and charging at Grande while the performers proceeded down a yellow carpet flanked by fans.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo quickly wrested the surprised performer away from Mr Wen, who was observed being led away of the premiere by security officers.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "released after being arrested", though court documents showed that he was set to attend court on Friday morning. It is uncertain if he was faced legal action.

Record of Disruptions

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Troll Most Hated", has invaded a performance. His Instagram account contains clips of him disturbing other celebrity events, including rushing the platform at the pop singer's Sydney concert in June this year and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers event in the same location last winter.

"Measures must be taken applied against him as this is evidently a punishable act," stated an Instagram user, in a reply to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his behavior.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" a different Instagram user questioned.

Fans Show Disapproval Over Ariana's Safety

Many followers accused Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had discussed suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder after a terrorist explosion at the finale of her spring 2017 performance in Manchester, killing 22 people and wounding many.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" said one more response on Instagram.

Several supporters also questioned security officers at the gathering for not being sufficiently alert; while different individuals requested social media platforms to remove Mr Wen's videos.

Aftermath and Event Details

In footage circulating online, Grande looked shocked when she was approached by the individual. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen consoling her while Mr Wen was led out by staff.

Grande has not issued a statement on the event, and the premiere activities continued without further issues.
